Mafia boy

Lil Ethan finally got his new boyish cut - PaPa was too irritated with his locks and sent him to the hairdresser last week!

Shower time!

Lately we have been combining the 2 lil fellows to do their bath together on weekends, this is to promote bonding between them and allowing us to save the efforts of running around after them to take the shower.

Caden seems to love having his bath with his DiDi, and didn't waste too much time going into the bathroom getting ready. Ethan, obviously is very happy to join his elder brother as there are so many toys for him to play with while the shower takes place.

As Ethan is usually busy with the toys, he isn't afraid of the water coming down on his face as PaPa washes his hair. To encourage Caden with the same courage - we showed him how DiDi washes his hair and now Caden also gladly shows off the water flowing down his cheeks without much of a struggle.

Bad fall

Ethan has a really bad fall yesterday at home. While Mummy was having her shower, PaPa was frantically knocking on Mummy bathroom's door as Ethan was crying badly. To Mummy's shock, Ethan has blood flowing down his left eye area and it really looked bad. We were contemplating if we should bring him to KK hospital but in the end didn't because his blood got clot and Ethan seemed to have forgotten abt his cut and was playing as usual in the next 1 hour. Mummy was concerned if the knock has any impact or cut to his eyeballs.

It looked quite bruised today and we decided to bring him to the sunday pedi at Thomson, the clinic was super-crowded so we decided to give it a miss and see Dr sim tomorrow instead.

The accountant

Although Mummy is accounting trained and does it for a profession, the real accountant in our house is actually PaPa. The role has been automatically assumed by him cos Mummy is usually forgetful and unsystematical and loses track of the house bills and personal bills most of the time. Strangely she does a perfect job at work but can't apply the same at home! PaPa is usually busy when the kids have fallen asleep with such matters.

Speech development

Ethan has only a limited range of vocabulary to date, he has managed to say 'up' , 'mummy' , 'mumm mumm (for food)', 'papa',' 'mama (grandma)', and the rest of the times he communicates with us via his hand gestures, pointing at the objects/toys he wants or waving to ask you to come over to him...

He loves bath time, refused to get out of the water tub most of the time as he usually loves to bring in a toy with him.

We tried not comparing the 2 boys development at this stage although I do remember that Caden seems to have advanced more rapidly in his speech than Ethan. The important thing for now is that the 2 boys get the correct set of values and morals and turn out to be a disciplined child going forward instead of spoilt brats!

Ethan's Hair

We have been contemplating if we should shave Ethan's hair one more time as they do not seem to be evenly grown. But his hair now is lovely as they have turned curly.. so it's really a hard choice.. as this is still the chinese new year season where barber prices are still rocketing high for the sake of chinese new year.. we still have some time to consider...
