Ist trip home away

Today Caden will embark on his first trip away from home.. We are heading for Rasa Sentosa for a 3 days 2 nights stay.. We have brought along 3 big bags and 2 small ones just for this short getaway.. we have literally shifted his barang barang from home to Sentosa !

Caden was so excited with the room as soon as we reached the resort in the afternoon. He was running and exploring around while PaPa went to park the car and Mummy was busying unpacking the clothes and toiletries out from the luggages. He took the internal phone, pretending to call someone.. climbing up and down the small sofa.. opening all the drawers within his reach and messing up our stuff in the luggage as Mummy unpacked.

We headed down to the swimming pool as the weather was good (cos the weather forecasts for the next few days were predicted to be thunderstorms). Caden was so afraid of the water and refused to go into the pool.. It took us a while to bring him in, with the help of his ball and some toy pails. Subsequently he was warmed up by some other children in the pool and was willing to walk on his own. But most of the time, he was clinging on tightly to one of us..

Caen got bullied by this ang moh boy who poured water on his face!

Luckily for us, Caden was still able to adapt well even when he was home away, he could still take his usual morning naps, eat his solids without me having to prepare porridge, removed his bowels everyday and slept through the nights in a foreign place (but only with us, not in the cot, cos it was too small).. we were very proud of him..

Morning nap, with PaPa..

Eating out with us in a deserted restuarant at the ferry terminal (cos we wanted to watch the musical fountain after dinner)

One of the rare occasions on the bus..

Bedtime story telling as usual..

Happy Birthday to PaPa !

Today is PaPa's 32rd's birthday! This morning was awaken by Caden's abnormal nose bleed in the wee hours..both PaPa and mummy didn't get much of a good night sleep as he has been fussing quite a fair deal recently.. nonetheless, being a wonderful father, PaPa has never lost any patience to both Caden and Mummy.. so today he is treated like a King..

Caden presented a birthday card to PaPa this morning when he was awake.. then we sent him off to Grandma's place and proceeded to collect our new car at the Pasir Panjang warehouse.. it was quite sad to see our Colt being driven off by the 2nd hand car dealer actually.. but PaPa was all excited to get his new car running on the streets..

Then Mummy treated PaPa lunch at Hai Tien Loh restuarant at Pan Pac.. its our first and will be the last visit there.. unless we strike gold next time.. luckily mummy has got $50 voucher from her bank's award.. otherwise this lunch really burnt a hold to her pocket.. we had never eaten a $100 lunch for 2 in our entire life!! haha.. this is really very memorable..

Then we went home to see Caden and celebrated with a birthday cake jointly blown by PaPa and Grandma (cos its her angmoh birthday as well!).. and as usual Caden was all excited to see the candle lit up!

(Caden getting very busy helping mummy to distribute cake..)

We like to wish PaPa a very happy birthday and stay healthy, happy and properous in his coming years..

Adieu Colt

Today is the last day that Caden sits in our beloved Colt to Kindermusik class. PaPa has finally got his Mazda 3 car when the price was at its lowest abt 4 weeks back. We have finally decided to change our car because we felt that a salon car would be more child-safe than our current hatchback. It occurred to us when we got hit at the boot one morning to work and we realised how will ah boy be affected if he's seated behind..

Nonetheless, reluctantly we decided to change car, despite the fact that this has very good pick-up power, fuel-efficient and easy for mummy to park. This is also the car that ferry PaPa and Mummy on their wedding day and ferrying Caden home from Thomson Hospital after he was born. This posting is specially dedicated to our 3 1/2 year old Mitsubishi Colt !

Cool Slideshows

lastly, this driver has only driven once on her own to Changi Airport to pick PaPa up when he returned from Australia on a reservist trip before Caden was born..

The 8th Singapore Motorshow

We went to the bi-annual Singapore Motorshow this morning at Suntec as PaPa is involved this year at this trade exhibition. Mummy got a complimentary ticket and went into this car show to see see look look despite no knowledge nor appreciation for cars..

Caden was first of all excited with seeing a miniature of a Ferrari near the entrance.. PaPa has to keep him off the boundaries so that he will not have a chance to destroy any parts.. subsequently we see another miniature Alfa Romeo and decided to give Caden a chance to "voom voom" in this car as there are many people around the area..

Caden then got hold of a balloon by himself (he went to pick up those balloons lying in a container meant for distribution) and ran around the hall playing with the balloon.. he even attempted to hit another little girl with his new found weapon..

Mummy liked a retro suzuki car best in the motorshow as she can envision herself driving that simplistic car.. small and no frills...

PaPa has many loves in this motorshow.. Lamborghini, Racing cars Ferrari (M Schumi's), Honda (Button) and Toyota (R Schumi's), Toyota Fine S and Lexus. And needless to say, the racing queens.. It must be his most enjoyable assignment for this year thus far !

Look at me !!

We used to clear Caden's nose shit using seawater spray as recommended by Dr Sim whenever we felt that his nose shit is causing discomfort to his breathing. Yesterday, we caught Caden attempting to dig out his own nose shit using his little finger - this must be highly influenced by his PaPa's act !

Counting his cars

Caden has recently enjoyed arranging his collection of cars side by side and lying on his tummy to count them. What surprised us today is that he managed to count from 1 to 11 to and fro on his cars. Although he did not pronounce some numbers correctly but definitely this is something which we are very proud of!

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Caden got bitten on his left ear, either by the mozzie or some strange insect last night in his sleep. This morning he woke up looking somewhat similar to having mummy's pair of ears ! And reminds us of Dumbo the flying elephant..
