A visit to the Singapore Science Centre

Finally we have made time to pop by Science Centre today to give Caden more exposure, instead of usual weekend window shopping trips.. We were pretty late by the time we reached the Science Centre - @ 1230pm.. We headed for McDonald's first, to have our lunch. Caden as usual had his set of Happy meal but today, he managed to gobble up 3 nuggets and some fries plus full packet of Apple juice..

After lunch, we toured round the Science Centre and we concluded that we were really not born to appreciate Science! Mummy got so bored after merely 30 mins and PaPa was just hanging around to let Caden roamed freely..

We decided at the very last 15 mins before the Omni Theatre movie starts at 3pm to watch the Dinosaurs movie. 15mins into the show, Caden fell asleep! Initially he looked quite terrified when the show started becos of the 3-d effects.. and the feeling of being present in the desert.. but we think that this will be the last time we will visit the Science Centre!

Detailed scan @ 30th week

Mummy has scheduled an appointment with Dr Cheng on Friday to specially go through a detailed scan and at the same time, take a sneak preview of his face with Dr's new 4-D machine.. but our Lil Ethan wasn't cooperative to us as his face was downwards facing when the scan happened. It took us 45mins to get the right position but Lil Ethan still wouldn't cooperate. Dr Cheng gave up and said see if next round in 3 weeks time will bear better results...

At 30 weeks, Lil Ethan has grown to 1.597kg, and Mummy has put on a total of 3.9 kg from her pre-pregnancy weight.. Mummy has decided to pile up more weight for herself in the next critical 4 weeks, so Ethan will be born at Caden's birth weight at least, of 2.85kg..

Humorous Caden

Caden's speech has progressed pretty well recently and this is what took place in the car on the Sat road trip:-

PaPa (coughing)
Caden : PaPa's coughing, Caden also coughing..
Mummy : No, Caden is not coughing
Caden : Yes lah, (then he pretended to cough - erh erh erh!!)

We were sleeping later in the past few weekends as Caden's wake-up time has been delayed. This morning, we were woken up by Caden's singing in his room ," Monday, Tuesday, Friday, sunday.. Monday, Tuesday, Friday.. " repeatedly.. he must have learnt this from his cousins..

Ethan's 28th weeks' development

We reached Dr Cheng's clinic only at 1215pm yesterday because we were busy with Caden's day-care registration (which is starting mid-sep - after lunar seventh month) and PaPa's GP visit (he is sick this weekend)... instead of our usual 10.45am slot, we waited till 1240 and then it was time for us to see lil' Ethan. Dr Cheng didn't do a 3-D scan this week as we gathered that it was near his closing time. Lil'Ethan is now weighing @ 1.195kg (dr says normal size, not to worry), ang Mummy has put on 3.3kg to date. The last weight taken was 0.72kg@25weeks. As we were paying for the medication at the counter, PaPa and Mummy were so amazed with the 3-D photo that Dr Cheng has done for one of his patients (which he proudly displayed at the counter). Dr Cheng heard our curiosity and said he will do a thorough one for me in my next visit, but it has to be a non-Sat cos usually it takes quite some time to wait for baby's right position to scan the baby. So Mummy decided to try for this on 24th Aug to have a sneak preview of Lil' Ethan's face!

Shopping!

Caden now truly understands the joy of shopping, esp when we told him that we are bringing him our for a shopping trip, he gets all excited and very cooperative in getting dressed up and wearing his shoes.. sometimes, when he realised that he is still not at any shopping malls after some travelling (e.g, lunch, breakfast, childcare centres' tours, etc), he will ask us,"Mummy, shopping??"
and when I didn't provide him with a satisfactory answer, he will turn to PaPa and ask," PaPa, shopping where????"

Fruits

Today we were eating at PaPa's uncle's famous Ba Chor Mee at Bestway Building and Caden kept telling us abt the fruits behind our seats on a signboard..

He said," Mummy, papaya!"
Mummy," oh, correct, clever boy"
He said,""PaPa, see, papaya! Ma Ma (grandma), cut cut cut"

Then as we were eating, he said,"Mango!" "apple".. etc.. getting more and more vocal.. but silent sheep when he sees strangers!
