29th April - Sentosa Getaway Day 3

We spent our last day in Sentosa Resorts World doing a swim in Hard Rock Hotel once again.. Ethan loved the pool and sand alot and literally forgot about his fear for the water in the pool by running to and fro from the water to the sandy beach.

(more pictures to be posted)

We rewarded ourselves with a buffet lunch at Starz Restaurant in Hard Rock which was fairly popular with guests on a Friday afternoon, surprising (we don't know where these people come from) and check out of our hotel by noon which marked the end of our short weekend getaway..

We found this statue at the entrance of Hard Rock Hotel and decide to keep a shot as a memento for our love of their pool

28th April - Sentosa Getaway Day 2

We had planned the trip to Universal Studio on Caden's Birthday and he has been looking forward to this outing.
The queue into the park was awesome, at 10am which is the official opening time, we already saw a long trail of guests waiting at the entrance to get in

With Woody Woodpecker's girlfriend

This spot is very popular with photo shoots and we bought a family picture done up by them which costs us $12.

Ethan ended up sitting next to an old auntie as Mummy was busy taking pictures for everyone and did not get to sit next to Ethan before the ride starts. The boys chose to sit on this jungle cart in the carosuel in the Madagascar World

Caden with the Frog Prince, whle the rest of us took a break from the scrotching sun and humid weather

We watched the Live Donkey show and Mummy was called up to do the live conversation with Donkey

The boys loved this mini ferris wheel located inside the Shrek store. The queue to go in was rather long so the 4 boys waited for quite a while to get their ride.

Caden did 2 rounds of Dino Soaring

At the Water World, where we were entertained by lots of explosions and lots of actions on the speedboats

Ethan and Elliot were sent off to take the jeep at Treasure Hunters while Caden and Aidan were accompanied by their mummies to take the Rapid Adverture ride at Jurassic Park

The boys were pretending that the dinosaur is going to eat them up

Photos with characters in the Ancient Egypt world - the last man was really good looking

Different caps for the day - the Madagascar characters

Our one and only group photo during the trip

The Universal Studio was entertaining, but the weather in Singapore is really unbearable for one to spend a full day out queuing in the sun and made us really tired by 3pm. We tried to fully utilise our tickets but probably too tired to last till 7pm. So eventually we left the park near 530pm

Mummy had to u-turn back to Universal Studio once again upon reaching our hotel room when we realised a portable fan which we bought for Ethan didn't seem to work. While I was there in the park, both KungFu Panda and Frankenstein were out on photo-shoots with the guests, so I decided to reward myself with one shot each, which turned out to be my fav photos for the day!

Scary man decided to loop my arm instead of using his hand to crush my head which he did to most people

At 530pm in the evening, we decided to hit the hard rock hotel poolside once again to wind down for the day. This time round, the boys had a fun time playing with their sand toys at the man-made beach in the hotel.

We had dinner at the Seafood Republic Restaurant - a collaboration between Jumbo Seafood and Tung Luk restaurant. The boys were kept happy with the balloons distributed by the waitress upon arrival. The food was nice, especially the oyster chicken, but the total bill cost us a bomb.

They boys had a fun time throughout the day and they were fully knocked out by the time we reached back our hotel rooms..

27th April - Sentosa Getaway Day 1

Finally our long awaited short getaway to Sentosa finally happened on Wednesday. The package that we have booked with Resorts World were quite a good bargain, we paid $598 for 3D2N stay in Festive Hotel and got 1 pair of adults tickets for La Vie and Universal Studio. So the room worked out to be $230 per night compared to the retail value of $360 per night. We went early at 10 plus in the morning and decided to explore some of the activities in the island.

First we went to merlion park and saw the giant paper origami. Then we proceed to take 2 rounds of the Luge. Obviously being height phobic, Mummy did not really enjoy the chair lift ride. The first ride up was really scary, but Caden surprising enjoyed the scenic ride up.

Ethan seemed to enjoy the Luge ride alot and was not as terrified when we took the chair lift up again for our second round.

Thereafter, we had lunch at Coastes, by the beach which was highly recommended by Auntie Winnie. The food was nice and on a weekday noon, the place is surrendered by foreigners and tai-tais..

The boys became pirates for a minute

We finally got to check into our hotel room at Festive Hotel after our swim at Hard Rock Hotel. The king family deluxe was cosy and spacious and we enjoyed the channels made available within the room itself. Ethan fell deep asleep after the swim in the room in late afternoon

We love this M&Ms seating area outside Candylicious store

The 3D2N package provided us with tickets to Voygage de La Vie show and it was very entertaining. The theatrical circus performance was the first live show that our boys get to watch and Caden enjoyed it very much.
