To the bird park!

It has been a long time since we last visited the Bird Park and becos PaPa couldn't get the free tickets for the zoo, we had to settle for the Bird Park in the last week of scholl holidays.

The kids were very excited with the trip early in the morning as both PaPa and Mummy dragged their bodies out of the bed before 8am. We headed off the long distance driving with dark clouds looming above us..

True enough, the weather worked against us, the rain starting pouring after we walked fairly a short amount of time, and we had to seek shelter in one of the huts. That's why the kids had their bread, some light snacks and enjoyed the titbits which Grandma and Mummy has brought along. It was a very tiring trip for us as Caden and Ethan wanted to be carried at times and the pathways were upslope and downslope structured. We ended off leaving the Bird park unsatisfied and hungry and tired.

Getting ready to walk in the rain
I don't think we will be going to the bird park for a long time again.. cos it's rather smelly and too tiring for us to bring along the kids given the obstacles we had to go through when we toured on foot.

Happy Father's Day!

Today is Father's Day and so happened that both Caden and Ethan do not have their usual Sun class. We woke up fairly early at 810am (considering there is no rush for classes today) and headed off to Jalan Kayu for prata breakfast.

Caden did a card for PaPa while he was working in office yesterday morning and in the card, he had asked Mummy to guide him to write,"PaPa, thank you for loving me".

The 3 boys in the house, it is relatively very challenging nowadays to take pictures tog with Ethan as shown:

Ben 10 Live show

This school holidays, Mummy and PaPa couldn't take leave due to work commitments and tried to make it up during the weekends. Today, we made a trip down to United Sq for the live Ben 10 show and Caden was obviously excited abt.

Doing the Ben 10 pose (wrong direction!)

For such shows, the most impt thing is to be there early and started queuing if you see the crowd was formed. The show was scheduled to start at 2pm and we had to queue starting 1.15pm. And we were lucky to be alloted to the front row at the side of the stage.
Before the show starts
Caden took the chance to take a pic with the stage's setting

Ethan was horrified by the 'Four Arms' person and Mummy had to carry him out of the seating range. Needless to say, my dear Caden enjoyed the show thoroughly.

This is what scared Ethan off

and Ethan hugged me tightly when this appeared on stage

Baby Mahjong

We organised a baby MJ session for our kids and the players looked really professional - Aidan, Caden, Eilliot and Ethan.

They do look like they are going to follow their parents' hobbies in no time!

Ethan has been potty trained

Finally Ethan has been potty trained at 19 months. He is able to go diaper-free during his awake time and signal us to bring him to pee when needed. And showed a great sense of achievement when we applauded him for a good job done!

Swim at Jurong Safra

It has been a long time since we last brought Caden for a swim. PaPa's friend, Uncle Brian initiated a swim session at the newly opened Jurong Safra club last Sat, tog with Aidan and Eilliot.

Surprisingly, Caden enjoyed himself thoroughly during the session, probably with the company of Aidan and his water gun. Ethan didn't want to get into the pool and kept crying to stay dry!
