Mummy's birthday celebration - July 2016

Ah lou took leave to accompany me on my big 4 birthday this year and he took the effort to get me a nice big breakfast in the morning.

As I am such a big fan of dim sum, we headed to change city point to grab lunch at Tung Lok Signatures so we could rush back home in time to pick up the kids from school at 1.

Given that it's only 2 of us,  I get to pick something that I really love since young..

This is my favorite childhood dish. The quality here didn't disappoint 😋

We ordered crispy noodles but the noodles looked weird.  In the end we couldn't finish this as the portion was too big for 2 of us.

Har kau here is not so good.

Although some dishes were disappointing, it was an enjoyable lunch, probably I get to eat in peace without the kids plus getting 100% attention from lou!  We even had some time left to shop around in the mall leisurely.

As Caden just recovered from stomach flu,  we opted to go DTF at night for dinner. The kids had a great time joking amongst themselves. And we ordered our usuals.

See the little head who managed to come into this pic!

I have termed this week as my birthday week so I get to play the 'queen' in the house given this privilege 😆

Time flies..  I have already spent more than half a lifetime to date.  I just wish that the remaining parts of my life will just be filled with happiness!

Happy Birthday to Me!

F1 roadshow at Safra Punggol

We were having breakfast at Punggol safra one Sunday morning and saw this F1 simulation drive booths. The boys couldn't drive on their own as the foot paddle was too far for their reach ( not possible for me too!)

Turned out that Ethan has better sense in driving compared to the elder one.  Caden kept hitting the curbs or mistakenly driving into the pit lanes..  Quite a good experience

Some funny faces to display our new look

Port of Lost Wonder - 21st June 2016

Still ranked as one of the top hangouts in SG for my boys.  This place always excites them when they know that we are going to Sentosa.  Papa accompanied them into the waters while I get myself burnt in the shades of the scorching hot sun 😩

Thankfully I found out that I can use the public toilet across Port of Lost Wonder (at Kidzania!)  so this trip was more pleasant for me!

They spent a total of 5 hours eating and playing in the same venue!

Alive Museum - 20th Jun 2016

.

I happened to have some corporate passes to Alive museum located in Suntec city so we decided to visit the museum during this June holidays.

There were many stations to pose for pictures and we finished all the stations within an hour.  Possibly there were only 3 to 4 groups of families in the muesem so we didn't have to wait for each other to finish photographing.

Some of the pictures we took

The boys were so happy acting out the effects required out of each 'scene' and I think they have enjoyed this trip.  As for me,  I personally prefer to spend this amount of time shopping or enjoying a cuppa coffee somewhere  :)😊

Solo times with the boys - June 2016

On days when I was on term break, I took the boys out for movie and popcorn treats which they enjoyed thoroughly.  This June,  we just love to hang out at Suntec city mall for their cinema and super spacious McDonald's which provided a good spot to just chill.

Caden loves to order 'create your own Burger' range while my other boy is just contented with the food on the main menu.

Some of the poses he had to showcase his long hairdo..

I guess it's still the best period for me to enjoy their company for now until the age where they will slowly become more independent. By the time when they are in their teens,  I think they may not be keen to hang out with me!

Hort Park - 13 Jun 2016

One of the highlights of the recent June holidays was a trip to Hort Park - and it was on an extremely hot day! Ethan has visited the park recently as part of his school's learning journey in March so initially he provided us with some good directions around the place.

Some old-school see saw

This pair of birds somehow caught my eyes..

We decided to do the Forest Walk which extends about 3km if I am not wrong..

Weather was so hot but the most torturing part is having to walk through some parts of the bridge which were way too high for my personal comfort ö. In addition, there were signs where wild monkeys might appear anytime so it was quite scary for me. True enough,  halfway through the journey, we heard some weird sounds in the bushes,  and I suspected that these sounds should be coming from the monkeys!

Leave no man behind!!

The boys enjoyed the walk though

At the end of the trail walk.  We have to walk back to Hort Park as we have parked our car there..

Most of us were very exhausted by the time we completed the entire trail walk ( round trip).  It's a good exercise though so I guess I don't mind doing it again!
