1st Southeast Asia Transformers Exhibition

We brought the boys to the Southeast Asia's first Transformers Cybertron Convention at Resorts World on Monday morning (start of their March term break) to view the 22-foot Optimus Prime statue plus a range of transformers toys from various time periods.

They were excited with this trip and had been looking forward since Sunday. The entrance fees cost $12 per pax (regardless of age), so it turn out to be quite pricey to admit the four of us in at the same time. Turned out that there were only 2 machines on display, or to be more precise, 2 statues on display! It was Bumblebee and Optimus Prime while the rest of the characters were on cardboard mode. Bumblebee was a smaller statue, slightly taller that 6-foot. Caden and Ethan were only fascinated with the x-box kinetic that was made available for play in the exhibition with the Transformer game loaded. Rest of the time, the boys were busy catching up shows at the movie podium. We went with Brian and Aidan and Brian was commenting that given today's technology, he expected one of the machines on display to be a robot (ie, live robot talking to us!)

At the entrance, it was a rainy and windy morning

One of the cut-out figures, I think this is Ratchet or is this Jazz??

This is the one of the 2 statues on display - Bumblebee!

The collectibles - sponsored by the fans for this exhibit

The mascots came out for a short while for photo-taking, the boys were not too excited even seeing them.

This bumblebee left arm kept falling off during the photo-shoot and we had to wait for the crew to fix back - in this photo, the arm came loose again

This is another statue on display to promote the Lego-Kero transformer series

We had planned to go to the beach after the exhibition but given the state of the weather on that day, ah lou shelved the idea and head straight home right after the visit..
