Solo times with Ethan

Today PaPa needs to work for one full day to facilitate the office shifting from one building to another, as a result, Grandma has been tasked to take care of Caden and Mummy with Ethan. Grandma took Caden out to jalan jalan and back to her Hougang flat till PaPa finishes his work and pick him from there.

As a result, Mummy was left alone with Lil Ethan throughout the day. It has been busy, Mummy has to cook 2 porridge meals for him, bathe him twice, made him sleep 2 naps during the day, additionally pump milk whenever I have the chance, etc...

But, definitely, it's one of the rare times that Mummy has such privilege to focus her full attention on Ethan since Caden demands equal amount of attention if he is around the house. Ethan is happy most of the time today and certainly made many funny faces to cheer Mummy's bad week at work away..

Mummy even took the courage to hand carry Ethan down to the nearby Pasar Malan for an evening walk.. it was only a 30-min walk but my hands were fully exhausted by the time I reached home!

Happy Birthday to Mummy!

Mummy was cleared of the chicken pox from the dermatologist. So she had the chance to celebrate her birthday together with Ethan and Caden! Small celebration with PaPa sponsoring all Mummy's zara and mango sales loot as the birthday gift, and cosy dinner at Changi Airport.

Mummy's half year reporting nightmare finally came to an end yesterday, I was thinking that I could finally bring Ethan home from today onwards after work to least spend some time with him and Caden on a daily basis.

This morning I decided to pay my GP a visit for a swollen patch on my hand which had a bubble form since Sunday night. Besides this swollen patch, I have other medium size red patches around my upper body (abt 10 or so) which were developed since Sat.. initially I thought they were just some insect bites which my body just reacted badly. I was seeking for a peace of mind with my visit to the GP this morning to make sure that its nothing like chicken pox (cos i have some on my scalp as well).

True enough, my GP suspected that it's chicken pox although its still a few spots here and there and only one developed into a bubble. He put me out on 3 days MC so that I don't pass this virus to my colleagues in case it turns out to be true..

As a result, tonight, my 2 boys are not home with me, and PaPa is still stuck in Ah Gu's house pacifying Caden to sleep there..

So suay, Mummy's birthday is just this Sat and there could be a possibility that I can't spend it with my sons this year.. hopefully my birthday can help to wash all the suay things I encountered since beginning of the year..

Fever

Mummy was down with bad fever infection late June for 6 days and was on 2 courses of antibiotics to stop the fever and subsequent developed bad cough.

I am not sure if Ethan has thus been infected with my virus as he came down with consistent fever over the last 3 days. It started on Thurs night when he kept crying in the middle of the night and Mummy has been tasked to sponge him after we fed him with the fever medicine. It was a torturing 2 nights experience for both mummy and papa and definitely for Lil Ethan as he battles with the stuffy nose and phelgmy cough on top of his consistently high fever (38degrees and above). He has also constant loose stools to make his ordeal worse.

His temperature only seems to come down today and behaving a little more active than last few days. Hopefully he gets better by tomorrow so we need not bring him to Dr Sim for antibiotics..

Thankfully during this weekend, Caden's ah gu has offered to bring him out together with his cousins Kimi and Samuel to relief our burden of babysitting.. mummy is already exhausted most of the times after practically no sleep at nights to sponge Ethan to bring down his temp and PaPa has been disturbed periodically to help to change diaper and medicine feed..
