Ethan

Finally, PaPa and Mummy have managed to sit down together to do more research on Baby 2's name. After searching through the internet reading at all potential boys' names, we managed to find one which we both like and have a good meaning to the name - ETHAN. It signifies "strong, firm", pretty similar to Caden's which signifies "fighter".. Most likely we will stick to this name.. unless we receive feedback that it sounds like "xx" or "yy"..

Viral Fever

For some strange reasons, Caden was down with viral fever since Monday mid-night. Mummy didn't realise that Caden had fever then, until he kept turning and tossing at 12am(which is super-rare behaviour) and then Mummy felt that his head was very hot. When we measured his temp, it was 39deg! We prescribed our backup fever medicine on him and thought his fever will come down fast. But instead of improving, he vomited as well. We rushed him to Dr Sim again first thing in the morning and he diagnosed that Caden was down with Viral fever and pre-warned us that it will worsen as it gets by.

Consequently, in Day2 night, his temp went up to 40deg throughout the night and he even "lou sai" one big time. We rushed him to Dr Sim again, because he kept complaining about stomach pain and not even had any food for the whole day- even water.. it was quite heart-breaking to see him so tired and weak each day. His fav phases for these few days are," don't want", "stomach pain pain". Hopefully he will get well soon!

Happy Birthday to Mummy!!

Today is Mummy's birthday - her 31st! first year into the 30s isn't all fun, lots of work burden in office, but compensated with tons of happiness from family.. plus the soon-to-arrive baby 2 is certainly something to look fwd to towards the end of the year..

PaPa couldn't take whole day leave today, and can only meet up with Mummy in the afternoon.. Mummy took her own sweet time at home to enjoy breakfast and watch tv, and travel downtown to meet PaPa for lunch and movie.. We watched "Transformers", it was a very nice show despite some scenes which are deem pretty violent for Mummy at her current stage of pregnancy.. we had lunch at our first date venue -House of Sundanese at Great world, good food, but exp price tag..

We went to pick Caden up in the evening after the show and proceed to Tampines Mall for dinner. As both Mummy and PaPa are still full from the late lunch, we decided to have our dinner at Sakae for a light meal.. Caden as usual is in his chirpy mood and eats almost everything that was dished out on the table.. we even dropped by Metro to grab some good bargains from its closing down sale..

By the time we reached home, both Mummy and PaPa are dead tired from whole day affair.. we had the cake cutting as anticipated by Caden and ended off my celebration from here.. it was a simple yet happy day for 3 of us.. my present from my ah lou this year is a Gucci bag!

Our little sunshine

Caden has always been our little sunshine since his birth and will always be. Although we are both stressed out over work lately (me not stressed, just tired from long hours), each time when we return home and see our little darling, he will brighten up our day. With his generous smile and talkative mode, he never fails to entertain us in a delightful way each day.. Weekends are definitely worth spending time with him cos its the only time that we can bond together. Lately, he learns to speak more words and started to form short sentences. His fav statement will be "what is this", "don't want", "wait for me", "open for me pls", etc. Tonight, he passed PaPa a toy pot and with another toy pot in his hand, he asked PaPa to "Yum sheng" with him!. We asked him who has taught him this phase, he said its Samuel Gor Gor.. that was quite funny!

Naming our baby no. 2

Mummy is already 24 weeks pregnant and have 3plus more months to go to the BIG day to see our baby 2. Mummy has been really bogged down by tons of never-ending work lately and suffering mental-block syndrome (ie, no ability to think abt anything else after work). PaPa is even more stressed out over his mission impossible deadline on delivering the project on time at this point, so both of us are still calling baby 2 as "baby", or "didi" when talking to him.

Recently we have made some progress. We didn't know how it started or happened that we narrowed down to "Michael" or "Justin". Ha, totally different from our dear Caden's name. Mummy only know what to call if 2nd child is a girl, "Meagan", but totally clueless when it comes to boys' names.. see how lah, maybe we get another inspiration again soon.

Haircut

We sent caden for a haircut on Sat at our neighbourhood hair salon. For the past few days, we have pre-empted him that we will need to bring him to the salon to cut his hair. But he will usually say,"Don't want" and walk away. On sat afternoon, we coaxed him to go downstairs with us and told him that we are bringing him to cut his hair. PaPa had to let him sit on his fav motorbike ride outside the salon(those 20cents car ride) and made a deal with Caden that he will have to guai guai sit into the salon and let the hairdresser cut his hair after the ride.

He quietly acknowledged the deal made. In the end, he was pretty cooperative this time round, although he still needed PaPa to carry him while th hairdresser cut his hair. This is how it looked like during the process:-
