Caden's first Sports Day

We took half day leave to attend Caden's first Sports Days held in his kindergarten on Friday morning. It was heartwarming to see how much your child can do under extreme pressure during a competition.

waiting for his segment

Caden was happy to see us turned up and seated at the spectators area. He was very shy, as usual, when we cheered for him as he walked up to the competing area for his segment. He had a partner with him, I think coincidentally, that boy's name is 'Ethan Koh', but this friend of his was super hyperactive on that day. Kept moving and jumping while waiting for their turn, and when it was their turn to run and work on their tasks, Caden's friend was lost and didn't seem to know what to do. Our dear boy, after picking up his stuff from the fake tree, led his partner through his task and held his hand to run to the next area to finish their task. Caden displayed some leadership skills which we were proud of.

bringing his friend back to the finishing line
And his team got first!

Tear

Ethan has been showing more emotions nowadays, his fav is screaming for the stuff that he wants and tearing when scolded by Mummy or PaPa.

ExplorerKids Birthday Bash

We have been invited to Caden's ex-classmate from Brightkids, Shaun's 4th Birthday party held in Explorer Kids. Shaun's mummy had explained to me that Shaun misses Caden alot and kept talking abt 'Caden Koh' at his home. We were glad that we had agreed to go this time, otherwise we will be depriving the kids from playing and meeting up again after the 5 months gap since they left BrightKids school.

Last game of the day
We are not sure if Caden has a chance to meet Shaun again - which may depends on whether will there be another round of gathering organised. Let's see if Shaun and Caden can still keep this friendship alive.

Saturday Afternoon

Mummy initiated an outdoor activity on saturday afternoon as she simply needed to get out of the house after 2 days of quarantine at home from her cough. We went to raffles place for a simple lunch at the food court below golden shoe carpark and it was fun for Caden and Ethan as they seldom get to eat at food court - al fresco style and with a few patrons.. it was breezy and we ordered a few varieties + fruits to keep Ethan occupied in the adult stacked up chairs while we managed without the maid.

Thereafter, we headed towards the raffles place mrt centre space and thought of letting the kids run around the trimmed grassland. But we found out that there is an Indian crew doing some movie shoot and attracted lotsa of Indian fans! Our kids nontheless were busy chasing sparrows and had a good time roaming around the little small area that we chose.
Huge turnout of Indian movie fans at the square on Sat afternoon

Then, Mummy suggested continuing the outdoor trip to Botanical Gardens for a walk and we discovered some surprises which we will bring them back more often. There is a Swan Lake which attracted many visitors as the swans are very sociable (only if you have bread) and turtles were also one of the highlights in the lake. The children were really fascinated with the 2 animals and stayed there for a long period of time. Further down the park, there is this big grassland where the Shaw foundation Symphony stage is found. There were so many families with little children setting up their picinic mat and lazing around the grassland. Caden and Ethan had a good time running around with other children, playing their balls, frisbee and their own bicycles.

At the Swan Lake
Caden was so scared to go near the swan while Ethan moved closer without reservations

At the waterfall area where both of them were fasinated with it

At the Shaw foundation Symphony garden area where both lil boys played as though they have been deprived of the huge playarea

The kids really had a fun time at what seems to be a boring place to my lou and me in Botanical Gardens. But just after a 2hr walk and running with these high-energy little ones, is enough to break both our old bones... my ah lou was complaining abt tiredness the moment we got into the car heading back home!
