Lend you my Tiger

Mummy has been coughing quite badly these days, last night, Ethan saw tears welled up in my eyes from the persistent cough. He asked,"Mummy crying?" I nodded my head and pretended to be very sad. Ethan then took his bedtime tiger (soft toy) and pass it to me and said "Ethan lend you tiger ok?" and tap tap my chest to comfort me...

so touching..

Sunglasses

My 2 boys love taking Mummy's shades these days and wear them in the car trips as they have been so inspired by the latest Power Rangers series who transform into rangers after they put on their sunglasses.

Ethan is spotted with Mummy's latest retro shades

Caden is wearing Mummy's morning shades when dozing off on my way to work

Where are you?

Caden went to Sentosa with his cousins Kimi and Sam together with Aunt Peggy and Uncle SK yesterday afternoon, while PaPa has met up with a failure in some IT upgrades in his orgn so he had to go back to office to fix up before the migration can get started today.

Hence our good Friday holiday were left with Ethan's company at home as Mummy is also down with cough. Ethan had a long nap during late morning so the entire afternoon he was up and runnning and super active with all the games that he can find and see. We played lego, badminton, basketball (he is so good with this now and can shoot when the net is hang up at the highest window panel in our house) and hide-and-seek.

While we were playing hide and seek, it's easy to track down Ethan as he always choose to hide in the same old spot in my room. When it's his turn to be the hunter, he couldn't find me, so he went round the house, calling, "Mummy, Where are you??" and even had to asked my maid the same question even when she was in the kitchen preparing dinner.

Can't describe why but it's heartwarming to hear my son calling out for me, sounding worried as he called out "where are you". Ethan's articulation has improved recently and we can understand what he wanted to tell us now most of the times. He can drive the Little Tikes car around the house and say goodbye to me while explaining that he's going to punggol plaza to buy fish and chicken!

I bet his fav question all round is "Can I drink Yakult?"

Scrapbooking

Mummy has finally completed the scrapbook for Tokyo after a long 3 months interval. It's not that I need full 3 months to work on the Scrapbook, since it's my first attempt, I took alot of time on the following:

1) Finding the Scrapbook papers - the whole process took me 2 trips at the Scrapbook store
2) Finding the right embellishments, ribbons, stickers, all in all, took me 5 trips all around the stores. Just 1 black ribbon alone took me 2 trips to haunt down my ideal texture.
3) Printing photos, thinking through how to group them in a page or 2 - this took me alot of time as I need to strategise in what size the photos had to be printed
4) Writing journal notes - I can only do this in a quiet setting, when the kids are asleep and when I am still not too tired (which is very rare)

I was busy at work in Jan till CNY, so all in all, probably maybe about 5 full days inclusive of shopping, have been spent to the completion of this Scrapbook. Building up the supplies from scratch is really tedious. My next step now is to understand how stamps work as I am keen to make use of them to work on my next album.

Here's a glimpse on some of the pages..

While the is Mummy's first attempt at Scrapbooking, I admit that I need to do much much better for my next book to record our next overseas trip!
