Ethan's 1st Birthday

Today is Ethan's first birthday.. and both PaPa and Mummy decided to bring himself and Caden out to the Zoo for his first trip.

Ethan was amazed with the surrounding when we reached in the morning abt 10.30am. Partly it was because we seldom bring him out, esp now that we have a domestic maid - very expensive to have her out on trips! He was busy looking around the surroundings and very soon we brought him to the Splash amphitheatre for a sea animals show.

We could have continued with the explore of the other parts of the zoo after lunch but the weather forbids. It started raining at about 1.45pm, and we decided to stroll around the souvenir shop to get 2 gifts for our lil ones..

Ethan's 1st Birthday celebration!

We planned a mini birthday celebration for our lil' Ethan today since his actual birthdate falls on Wednesday. We didn't have the big one like what his brother, Caden, used to have as Mummy and PaPa were really very tied up with our work schedule last 2 months.

But, the celebration has not been shortchanged. We ordered a Swensen's ice-cream birthday cake for the children, and the picture was chosen by Caden, who loves the Buzz Lightyear and Woody. And for convenience, we ordered the dinner from Lee Wee Brothers. The guests were kept to a minimum, extended to PaPa's immediate family only..
Ethan was all excited with the birthday banner that has been put up this morning, he signalled to us to carry him so that he could try touching the banner while stretching out.

Ethan's Lunar Birthday

Today is Lil' Ethan's First Lunar Birthday. Both of us still go to work in the morning and planned to be back home slightly earlier to hold a mini celebration.
Mummy bought an Awfully Chocolate cake from Republic Plaza for his birthday. As Grandma said it is not appropriate to celebrate the birthday for more than one time, we decided not to sing song and blow candle. So what we did was just to talk some pictures.. here they are..

Crying pitifully for Mummy's hug hug while we forced Ethan to take a pic with his grandparents

Ethan was generally very cranky throughout the whole session cos he was too tired and probably wanted his milk and sleep soon..

Kneel down and pull your ears!

Yesterday, Caden's grandma was complaining to us how notti Caden was. He asked Auntie Heidi (my new maid) to bring out some coins that PaPa has put for him in a key pouch that PaPa doesn't need to school. On his way, he has asked the maid to use these money to pay for a pack of chocolates that cost $2. My maid was so stupid to have proceeded to this request from a 3 year old boy.

It was fuming to know. Hence I wanted to punish him really hard for him to remember that this is wrong. I scolded him after my dinner at 9pm and Caden started crying. Then I asked him to select his mode of punishment:
1) cane on his hand
2) stand outside the house for 10mins
3) kneel down and pull his ears

Obviously it didn't seem scary or painful to choose option 3, although he was sobbing when I told him that there is a punishment. He took options 3. And after 5mins of kneeling, he started to tell me, "Mummy pain pain my legs"..

I asked him to stand up again and explain what he has done wrong.. he seems to have understood.

Today, when he is at Grandma's house, my mil asked him how did Mummy punished him, he showed off his stunt in her room, thinking that it's very funny! )Pangz..

Formula 1 Qualifying night

PaPa got 2 free tickets to watch the SG First F1 night race on Sat (27th Sep), minus the kids. It was quite a good experience and both of us felt we were back in the same old dating days..

It was a very hot and sunny afternoon, PaPa first dropped by Mummy's office at 6 Battery Road ont he 20th floor for the full view of the race track. Thereafter, we proceeded to the Padang grandstand to watch the BMW car race.

We proceed to walk around the track to check out the rest of the race angles before the qualifying race started at 10pm.

One kind race fan volunteered to take a pic for us.
Where we are watching the qualifying race.. PaPa was all excited to watch Massa, Kimi, Alonso and Louis Ham.
