Kindermusik Trial

Caden attended yet another trial class today at Kindermusik, organised by one of the forum mummies, auntie Cathy today. We reached the class ten mins before it started and Caden had himself warmed up instantaneously with the balls lying ard in the room. Shortly Brother Zavier came to our classroom and joined in the fun with the balls.. Caden followed what Zavier did most of the time - kicking, falling, running.. etc.

When the class started, Caden responded very well to all the activities that were slowly introduced to all the toddlers. Caden followed what teacher Shauna asked them to do, like rolling the ball to and fro, shaking the bells and knocking onto each other, dancing with the scarf, running and jumping ard the room to the music rhythm and even laughing to the sounds made by the trumpet, etc..

We were actually very impressed with his performance as compared to other toddlers, as he is the most participative child in the class. And we could clearly witnessed that he enjoyed himself alot.. Although we are put on waiting list for Zoophonics, PaPa wants to go ahead and sign up for this class for ah boy...

Caden turns 18th months old today

Caden finally turns 18 months today!!! He is now officially a toddler and really to be signed up at childcare anytime.. He has recently learnt to kiss us on our cheeks upon requests, saying more words now, getting more demanding.. but definitely more fun to hang around with..

This morning we went to Upper Thomson Rd for Prata breakfast, he enjoyed eating egg prata alot. After which, as PaPa drove us back home, Caden kept saying "hot, hot" It was quite funny as he was trying to tell us the sun that was shining onto him in the car made him hot!!

A one of his fav hangout spot at home.. watching the children at the basketball court and playing his own basketball

His afternoon naps have now lasted 3 hours on the average.. peace for us!!

Zoophonics Trial

Artwork courtesy of Caden Koh

Caden attended a Zoophonics trial class today located at Jurong West Ave 1 !!! It is such a far car ride for us to bing him there, Caden even dozed off during the car trip in the morning.. Overall, he is one of the most attentive child in the class, not sure if he has been trained from his BJG classes in the past.. but he seems to enjoy most of the activities the teacher conducted.. like, dancing, drawing with crayons, pasting flowers, listening to story-telling.. catching bubbles was his favorite activity..

If not for the distance, mummy will be interested to enrol Caden in this school.. so mummy is still seeking alternatives..

Kelly mei mei's 1st Birthday

Caden has been exclusively invited to Kelly mei mei's birthday party. Auntie Wendy wanted to keep the crowd to a minimal and only invited little toddlers to Kelly's party.. so these toddlers' parents have to tag along.. hehehee... nontheless, we bought her a tricylce knowing that this gift should be able to last her till 3 years old at least..

A stroll in the park with my Lantern

Since I have to work late tomorrow (being a reporting deadline day.. ), tonight I decided to bring Caden down for a stroll in the park although tomorrow is the mid-autumn festival.. no choice lor.. so told PaPa I'll accompany Caden for a lantern stroll..

Caden was extremely excited when he heard me saying,"we are going downstairs, quick wear your shoes".. and happily waited at the door.. when he was downstairs walking around with his lanterns (courtesy of my Cousin Mary) he was shouting with joy.. glad to see that he has enjoyed this short stroll tonight.. I hope I can at least knock off by 830pm tomorrow to do this again..

Asking PaPa to carry him high high near the basketball net which he enjoys alot as well..

Caden's lanterns, the most traditional one is from Grandpa and Grandma..

Learning path

Caden has just turned 17 months last thursday.. strange things happened to him these 2 weeks.. no one at mum's place was sick, and he has stopped his BJG classes since last week.. not sure how he got his flu bug virus and fever over these 2 weeks consecutively on and off.. anyways, PaPa and Mummy were used to taking care of him.. so really hope that he will get well soon..

For the past 2 weeks, we have trained him to sleep on his own, ie, without having our company when he's trying to get to sleep at nights.. in the past one of us has to be by his side on the bed when he tossed and turned to sleep.. lately, mummy decided to enforce this new discipline on him in view to transfer him to his own room when he turns 2. So this is the first step to independence at night.. and it works!!! and leaves PaPa and mummy more time for ourselves at night nowadays..

Caden has also started to appreciate his leap frog learning pad recently.. he enjoys it when the books reads some simple words as he presses them.. one of the pages made him chuckles alot as it reads,"B!" . Mummy is so glad that this birthday present hasn't gone to waste..

Getting distracted while learning his abc..

And definitely when it comes to food... he has already understand how to sit in his own chair feeding his own breakfast on his own while watching his fav programme on TV - Barney!!
