Mummy initiated an outdoor activity on saturday afternoon as she simply needed to get out of the house after 2 days of quarantine at home from her cough. We went to raffles place for a simple lunch at the food court below golden shoe carpark and it was fun for Caden and Ethan as they seldom get to eat at food court - al fresco style and with a few patrons.. it was breezy and we ordered a few varieties + fruits to keep Ethan occupied in the adult stacked up chairs while we managed without the maid.
Thereafter, we headed towards the raffles place mrt centre space and thought of letting the kids run around the trimmed grassland. But we found out that there is an Indian crew doing some movie shoot and attracted lotsa of Indian fans! Our kids nontheless were busy chasing sparrows and had a good time roaming around the little small area that we chose.
Then, Mummy suggested continuing the outdoor trip to Botanical Gardens for a walk and we discovered some surprises which we will bring them back more often. There is a Swan Lake which attracted many visitors as the swans are very sociable (only if you have bread) and turtles were also one of the highlights in the lake. The children were really fascinated with the 2 animals and stayed there for a long period of time. Further down the park, there is this big grassland where the Shaw foundation Symphony stage is found. There were so many families with little children setting up their picinic mat and lazing around the grassland. Caden and Ethan had a good time running around with other children, playing their balls, frisbee and their own bicycles.
At the Swan Lake
At the Shaw foundation Symphony garden area where both lil boys played as though they have been deprived of the huge playarea
The kids really had a fun time at what seems to be a boring place to my lou and me in Botanical Gardens. But just after a 2hr walk and running with these high-energy little ones, is enough to break both our old bones... my ah lou was complaining abt tiredness the moment we got into the car heading back home!
