Caden's 1st Yamaha class concert

I fell sick today and completely lost my voice... couldn't go to Caden's class concert today as it marks the child's achievements in their last 2 semesters of lessons. Caden at the age of 4 is the youngest in the class and has managed to catch up with the pack so far.


The piano lessons got him to memorise his music notes by hard when he plays the songs, obviously, sometimes, he could recognise which note in this musical scores meant, but he is still not matured enough to read the notes and play the song at the same time.


Least he is beginning to enjoy his music lesson as there is this other boy in the class who clicks very well with him..

when PaPa came back from his class today (and concert), he commented that Caden was too gan-cheong and played the wrong notes for Cuckoo Clock which we have chosen for him to play. I watched the video that my ah lou took and it was really funny!

PaPa is also feeling the stress of attending the class with him as he is struggling to keep up with what has been taught in order to guide Caden along.. haha.. it's a real musical appreciation course taken by him at his age..

Formula 1 Singapore 2009

This weekend is F1 in singapore and we got free tickets to watch on Sat night for the qualifying session at Padang grandstand once again.

We didn't leave home in the afternoon this time round as we need to settle the kids before Mum comes back from her concert in the evening. We only got there at raffles city near 630pm and quickly had our dinner at the food court as the practice session starts at 7pm.

Obviously the kids didn't miss us as Grandma had planned a separate lantern activity to keep them occupied in the evening.. they were all sound asleep by 9pm after spending a fair bit of energy walking the whole night.

we spent a fair deal of time walking through the retail store but did not get a T-shirt in the end - either the same design was short of my size or the shirt's cutting did not fit well

Ethan goes bald

We have decided to shave Ethan one more time before his 2 years old birthday as we felt that his hair didn't grow evenly in the last 18 mths (since the first shave at month 4). We usually do not have too much of a problem getting Ethan sit quietly on the hair salon's seat since young and today's shave was not an exception either

Sentosa

Ethan has not played real sand before so we thought of bringing the boys down to Sentosa today (being the 1st day of school holis) to get them playing with the sand.

Ethan was extremely excited when he first stepped onto the sand. He even took out his own shoes and walked all over the beach and loved throwing the sand all over!

Caden and PaPa had their first Luge experience today (2x) while poor Ethan was kept one side eating his Mummie biscuits to keep himself occupied, while Mummy enjoys her well-deserved Coke!
