A trip to Kallang Wave - 12th Dec 2014

After getting our stuff in the Popular Book Fest on Friday, we decided to drop by Kallang Wave (Singapore Sports Hub) for dinner as we had not been to the place since it was opened a few months back and it's only a 5 minute drive from Suntec City.

To my surprise, the place was not too crowded, probably because, it's December (when some are in overseas) or it's a Friday night (so families are not commonly seen). We walked around the place to check out what's there for shopping and dining. We also checked out the Climb Central company, and will probably do a session of rock climbing when Ethan is heavier next time (minimum weight to do is 20kg).

Caden and Ethan were excited to be in the stadium when we found out that it's opened after our dinner and it was quite breath taking looking at an empty stadium lighted up with Xmas lightings. The Sports Hub was running a Xmas campaign earlier where public can enter the premise at selected timings till 20 Dec.

Kallang Wave Mall / Sports Hub is easily accessible by train (Stadium station; circle line) and offers some good mix of shopping and dining. I guess the most common reason of coming to this place is probably to catch some sports matches which can be exciting given the capacity this stadium can house. We hope we can come to watch a match very soon, if there is a chance to do so.
