Changi Airport T3 Angry Birds workshop

We headed to T3 after Ethan and Caden's piano lesson on Sunday to have lunch and intended to redeem this week's Angry Bird plush. But we found out that this week's plush was not that Angry Bird which we promised Caden to get so we abandon the plan. In the end, we got the boys to spend some time in the lounge area and the workshop instead.

Waiting to get in as we were allocated with 3pm slot (a good 30 minutes wait). Thankfully we got the last 2 slots for 3pm, otherwise, we have to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for the next session!

There were 2 apps with the angry bird space games to keep them occupied. Ethan spent almost 80% of the time playing this

They got a shot with an Angry Bird plush

We will be back the next week again, before the school reopens.

Sentosa Trip - Day 2

What is considered a school holiday if we as parents don't spend enough time with the children during this period?

We planned the second day back in sentosa once again for a beach outing!

The night before, it rained throughout. So when we woke up at 7am on the 20th, we thought we had to abandon this trip since the weather looks equally bad given the heavy downpour the night before. However, we decided to go ahead with the trip back in sentosa as the boys were really looking forward to the beach play.

We reach the island near 10am and decided to go for the Port of Lost Wonder adventure. It was only priced at $8 per child during weekdays and the accompanying adult get to go in for free. As we have only equipped them with their swimwear, we left it to the boys to have their fun in this water-themed park.

The queue was long, despite being a weekday. Most of the visitors were tourists so I gathered everyone around the world is taking a break from work.

The boys were being briefed of the rules and given a pouch of coins and a passport

Each bag contains 5 coins for them to spend in the park

Ethan was just happy and contented playing with the water jets and this see saw

His moments
Caden really loves walking through the water spouts

Happy - after attempting the slide

There was a time when the cotton candy station was out serving, the boys queued up to get their share for 2 coins each

Waiting for his candy in antipation

Our lunch from Pork Belly - this is a child's meal - about $10 each after GST and 10% surcharge. Simple but the sausage sandwich is nice. We ordered 3 portions in total eventually.

Not wanting to risk another disappointment due to weather, we decided to call it a day at Port of Lost Wonder at about 2pm (after 4 hours of play) and head out to the beach nearby. The boys finally get to play with their sand tools and start building their sandcastles.

Their other all-time favourite: challenging the currents and holding on to their positions

This day was fun-filling, the boys were already asking when can they come again to the Port of Lost Wonder.

Sentosa Trip - Day 1

Finally we got some time off from work and brought the boys out to Sentosa on 19th for a day trip out. Initially, we were planning to head out to Legoland in Malaysia but abandon the idea as the weather conditions are fairly unpredictable these days. The night before, we were frantically surfing the net, trying to get hold of accomodation at Resorts World but was fully booked out. I even had the impulse to fly out to HK for a 3D2N trip but the air tickets were exorbitant - priced at $900-1k per pax!

So we ended up going to Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon. This theme park is currently running a promotion for Singaporeans - buy one adult ticket at $15, and you get to admit one child or senior citizen for free.

It was up close and personal with the fishes when you first enter into the park. Ethan was apprehensive at first but slowly warmed himself to have the courage to touch those stingrays. The park was not too crowded, probably the crowd has headed to the other new water theme park at Resorts World (S.E.A aquarium).

This is the bigger pool with bigger sized stingrays

As the stingrays are much bigger in size, the boys did not attempt to touch them in this pool.

We bought some fish food to experience the feeling of feeding the fishes in a specially designed tank. The fishes were smart, they did not attempt to rip off the food from their little hands but loiter near the fish food. When the boys hands were tired holding the fish food in a stationary position for almost 5 minutes, we asked them to release them into the water. Once this was done, the fishes swam towards the floating fish food and started to fight for their share..

Caden was so amused with this sea creature - the pig-nosed turtle.

Our tour in the tunnel - Caden actually read the description of each fish presented along the walkway. Ethan spent his time snapping photographs..

His masterpiece
The 3 boys trapped in an aquarium!
Actual size of a Japanese flower crab. I told Caden that if we were really to meet one, we had to run as fast as our legs can do!

At the Dolphin Lagoon. The show was supposed to start at 2pm, but the weather turned bad and started drizzling. Nontheless the crew went ahead with the performance but it ended abruptly because the downpour turned heavy halfway through.

The sea lions

Since it was raining heavily, we had to also abandon our plan to play at the beach and head towards vivocity for our late lunch.
