2 more days to our long awaited trip to Taipei + Hualien + HK. We have booked this trip back in March but not been able to get down to do a thorough planning for the trip only until this month. Thankfully Lydia (Winnie and Brian's kaki) is a frequent visitor to Taiwan so she knows exactly where we should cover given the 7 days period.
Lydia has helped to draft an itinerary for us to be guided by. Ah lou and myself modified the itinerary slightly to incorporate Baby Boss for the kids, coupled with a few other interesting spots we googled on tripadvisor, other blog sites, etc.
Given that we are already almost half way into this year, this holiday is really a timely break for us (for ah lou and me at least), that we had been coping without a maid for the last 2 weeks, higher job demands (perpetual unresolved issues), and upcoming hectic budget reporting for me. The boys had been looking forward to this trip, primarily because they get to travel with their friends Aidan and Elliot once again and it's going to be a fun-filled tip based on what we had explained (hopefully!!).
We were fairly efficient today, completed 90% of the packing and house-cleaning by 4pm this afternoon. Am going to bring 3 bags over and hopefully we get to have good finds and good bonding time with the kids this school holiday.
