Caden has finally picked up his confidence to walk around the house this week. 3 weeks back, he has started his first steps hands-free, walking at home, before we left for our holiday. Last night, he was happily walking around at home, bending down to pick up ball, stood up and threw the ball, and walking towards the ball. And he did this for abt 3 mins.. its good to see him being more confident in his steps taken but at the same time, we love to let him creep more as it stimulates the mid brain development.
Extracting from Glenn Doman's forum, "Creeping develops the midbrain which helps develop the convergence of the eyes at arm's length which helps the child to read better, have better vision and longer attention span, which in turns lead the child to become sharp and focused. The cross patterning structures the brain so that one part of the brain becomes dominant for the brain to function efficiently."
Anyway, all this while, we have not been pressuring Caden to learn walking as we strongly believe that a child will know what to do when he's ready for it..
